The Vexmen will be looking for new student Roboteers for the upcoming 2017-2018 season. We are the largest Vex organization in the world and looking for some new members.
There will be two information sessions on September 5th and 6th at the Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Center cafeteria. Please choose a night that matches when you will be able to come on a regular basis. Additionally, please fill out a registration form so we can ensure our capacity.

Each year Vex offers a set of online design challenges that allow students to explore CAD design, making a fun second robot, tearing apart a piece of electronics, and teaching others about robotics. These challenges are due January 11, 2017 and can take some time to put together a quality production. The Christmas break is the perfect time to put these together as a team.
If you think you may get to Vex World Championships, two online design submissions are required to qualify for the Excellence Award. Here is a great opportunity aimed at our girl roboteers. The Society of Women Engineers national conference is being held in Philadelphia from 10/26 – 10/29 at the Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia.
As part of the conference the Invent It Build It program allows middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students to participate in an all day workshop from 9:30am to 3:30pm. The Invent It. Build It! program exposes girls to design process and women engineers through a series of activities. Parents get to learn about colleges, scholarships, other clubs/programs.
